Hello, my lovely friends!\u00a0 It\u2019s Tania<\/a>, back with you today!\u00a0 Do you need a refresher for your revolving frame<\/a>?\u00a0 Today\u2019s project, using the Our Family Mini Collection, is one that you could easily put in a permanent frame and customize specifically for your family. I especially love the texture that the use of the Echo Park Heart Silhouette Design<\/a>\u00a0creates as it is layered over a solid background.<\/p>\n When creating the background in the Silhouette design software you\u2019ll first need to open a new canvas and change the orientation to Landscape.\u00a0 Then, it is easiest if you turn on the \u2018Show Grids\u2019 feature before going to your Library and inserting the Echo Park Heart design. Once you have the design inserted, resize it to fit within the space of 1\u201d using the grid squares as a guideline. Copy and paste this image across the top row. Once you have the top row done, use your Group tool to group this row of images together. Then you can copy & paste the entire group into the subsequent rows. This little tip will be a tremendous shortcut for filling in the remaining rows so you aren\u2019t copying and pasting 7 dozen individual hearts.<\/p>\n \n Once you cut your background of hearts, pop out all of the hearts and save them for another project. I did use a few of them with foam dimensional adhesive to create some popped out dimension, but otherwise I set them aside for a later project.\u00a0 Take your cardstock with the negative space of the heart images and layer it over another piece of cardstock of the same color.\u00a0 This adds a unique design element and visual texture without being visually overwhelming.<\/p>\n \n From there you can layer on papers and embellishments until you have the look you\u2019re going for. I had fun kicking my embellishments up a notch by personalizing one of the houses with a sticker with the number of people in my family. I also made a few of the houses pop visually by adding glaze to them and sprinkling them with ultrafine glitter. So fun!<\/p>\n The Echo Park Paper Family Silhouette Design<\/a>\u00a0can easily be substituted for any other word\u2026.your last name, perhaps?<\/p>\n If a framed piece of scrapbook art just isn\u2019t your thing, I challenge you to try this technique on a scrapbook layout or your next card!
