{"id":1574,"date":"2010-03-04T00:49:22","date_gmt":"2010-03-04T06:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/?p=1574"},"modified":"2014-11-23T06:30:06","modified_gmt":"2014-11-23T12:30:06","slug":"opening-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/2010\/03\/04\/opening-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening Weekend Layout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Opening Weekend for baseball is always filled with fun festivities (and lots of pictures to scrapbook) and Amy was able to create this 2-page layout using plenty of her photos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I started with two sheets of white cardstock for the base of my 2-page layout.<\/li>\n<li>Next, I trimmed my photos but kept them all at three different heights to work in a grid-like format.<\/li>\n<li>Before adhering my photos, I positioned them into a rectangle shape keeping then in the center of my layout. I cut pieces of yellow cardstock to fill in the gaps between my photos.<\/li>\n<li>I took my sheet of American Crafts \u2013 Junior Varnish We\u2019re #1 Paper and trimmed it down \u00bc\u201d smaller than each piece of yellow cardstock on two sides before adhering it to the yellow cardstock pieces for my layout.<\/li>\n<li>I adhered my photos and matted patterned paper pieces leaving common margins between them all.<\/li>\n<li>I positioned my title using Thickers \u2013 Chipboard Letterman \u2013 Mustard and Thickers \u2013 Chipboard Letterman \u2013 Emerald in the lower left hand corner of the layout. I substituted a baseball from American Crafts \u2013 Junior Treehouse Printed Chipboard Pieces for the \u201co\u201d in \u201cOpening.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>I cut a circle mat from the yellow cardstock and positioned my journaling card from the MLYB &#8211; Say What? Journal Tablets \u2013 Sports and positioned it in the lower right hand corner of the layout overlapping a photo.<\/li>\n<li>I added the date to one patterned paper mat using Thickers \u2013 Chipboard Letterman \u2013 Mustard and also a trophy accent from American Crafts \u2013 Junior Treehouse Printed Chipboard Pieces.<\/li>\n<li>To complete the page, I drew a border around everything.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Supplies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thickers \u2013 Chipboard Letterman \u2013 Mustard<\/li>\n<li>Thickers \u2013 Chipboard Letterman \u2013 Emerald<\/li>\n<li>American Crafts \u2013 Junior Varnish We\u2019re #1 Paper<\/li>\n<li>American Crafts \u2013 Junior Treehouse Printed Chipboard Pieces<\/li>\n<li>MLYB &#8211; Say What?
