{"id":1624,"date":"2010-02-19T00:58:37","date_gmt":"2010-02-19T06:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/?p=1624"},"modified":"2017-11-19T08:15:54","modified_gmt":"2017-11-19T14:15:54","slug":"pinewood-derby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/19\/pinewood-derby\/","title":{"rendered":"Pinewood Derby Layout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scouts spend a lot of time working on their Pinewood Derby cars and the day of the event is filled with excitement!\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a great layout by Tanya that is sure to highlight all those special pictures!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1626\" src=\"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Pinewood-Derby1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"648\" height=\"582\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Pinewood-Derby1.jpg 648w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Pinewood-Derby1-300x269.jpg 300w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Pinewood-Derby1-200x180.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies List:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 pieces Kraft cardstock<\/li>\n<li>1 piece American Crafts we&#8217;re Number one Paper<\/li>\n<li>1 sheet It Takes Two Pinewood Derby Paper<\/li>\n<li>Edge Distresser<\/li>\n<li>Charcoal ink<\/li>\n<li>White Ribbon<\/li>\n<li>Pop dots<\/li>\n<li>White Fleur de-lis- Creative Imaginations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut the word Pinewood Derby off of the It Takes Two Derby Paper<\/li>\n<li>Distress the edges of the title and the large rectangle, then ink with charcoal ink<\/li>\n<li>Mat &#8216;Pinewood Derby&#8221; with distressed, inked green cardstock<\/li>\n<li>Trim a little off of the bottom of the American Crafts We&#8217;re Number 1 paper, then cut a stripe off the left side<\/li>\n<li>Distress and ink the edges<\/li>\n<li>Attach AC paper to Kraft cardstock and layer Scout paper on top of it.<\/li>\n<li>Trim the edges of three pictures into a circle shape (I used a plate)<\/li>\n<li>Mat the photo circle with a larger circle of Kraft cardstock<\/li>\n<li>Distress and ink the edges of the photo circle and the Kraft mat<a href=\"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/public_html\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Derby-close-up-22.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1634 size-full\" title=\"TS-Derby-close-up-2\" src=\"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Derby-close-up-22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"408\" height=\"612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Derby-close-up-22.jpg 408w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Derby-close-up-22-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Derby-close-up-22-133x200.jpg 133w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/TS-Derby-close-up-22-300x450.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 408px) 100vw, 408px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Adhere matted photos to layout slightly off the edge &amp; trim the edge<\/li>\n<li>Add a fourth photo to the empty spot in the photo circle<\/li>\n<li>Add pleated ribbon across the bottom of the layout (using adhesive)<\/li>\n<li>Add a pleated stripe of Scout paper on top of the ribbon<\/li>\n<li>Punch a circle out of green cardstock, distress and ink the edges and cut in half<\/li>\n<li>Attach circles to top &amp;
