I recycled the thin cardboard backing paper that comes with the Lace Cut cardstock and used it on my layout. I also used a photograph as the background block for my title letters. By choosing a simple photo of coal from our adventure I was able to create a unique and original title block.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2339\" src=\"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/JJ-Coal-Mine-Tour.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"597\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/JJ-Coal-Mine-Tour.jpg 597w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/JJ-Coal-Mine-Tour-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/JJ-Coal-Mine-Tour-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/JJ-Coal-Mine-Tour-300x302.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 597px) 100vw, 597px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LYB &#8211; Generation Z &#8211; Orange Metallic Wings Paper<\/li>\n<li>LYB &#8211; Generation Z &#8211; Black Metallic Zig Zag Paper (both sides)<\/li>\n<li>LYB &#8211; Generation Z &#8211; Lace Cut Cardstock<\/li>\n<li>LYB &#8211; Generation Z &#8211; Ribbon<\/li>\n<li>LYB &#8211; Generation Z &#8211; Journal Tablet<\/li>\n<li>Cat&#8217;s Eye Fluid Chalk Inkpad &#8211; Charcoal<\/li>\n<li>Bazzill Smoothies Cardstock &#8211; Blackberry Swirl<\/li>\n<li>American Crafts Slick Writer<\/li>\n<li>Target Foam Alphabet Stickers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Use Orange Metallic Wings Paper (grey striped side) as the layout base.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere black gears Lace Cut Cardstock to the backing paper from the package and adhere across the top of the layout as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a 3 x 12 inch strip of Black Metallic Zig Zag Paper (black striped side) and adhere across the lower third of the layout as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere a length of zig zag ribbon along the top of the black striped paper.<\/li>\n<li>Hand cut zig zag side of Black Metallic Zig Zag Paper to approximately 3 x 10 inches. Adhere vertically to left side of layout.<\/li>\n<li>Mount photos on black cardstock and adhere as shown.<\/li>\n<li>Ink edges of journaling card, fill in journaling and adhere to layout.<\/li>\n<li>Use photograph as a background for foam alphabet stickers.
