I used the backside &#8211; yellow dot.<\/li>\n<li>Cut\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Report Card Die Cut<\/strong> in half and adhere left half to right hand edge of base paper.<\/li>\n<li>Cut &#8220;Recess&#8221; strip and &#8220;apple&#8221; strip from\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Story Time Cardstock<\/strong> and adhere across page.<\/li>\n<li>Mat photo with orange backside of\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Story Time Cardstock<\/strong> and adhere next to &#8220;recess\/apple&#8221; portion of page.<\/li>\n<li>Add narrow strip of backside (blue houndstooth print) of\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Study Hall Cardstock<\/strong> just above &#8220;recess&#8221; to line up with top of photo mat.<\/li>\n<li>Add three brads from\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Glitter Brads<\/strong> just above photo.<\/li>\n<li>Add &#8220;grade&#8221; chipboard accent from\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Layered Chipboard Tags<\/strong> in lower right corner of layout.<\/li>\n<li>Add grade number to chipboard tag using\u00a0<strong>Thickers &#8211; Vinyl Sprinkles \u2013 Orange<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Finish title using mix of new alphas.<\/li>\n<li>Add journaling to ruled lines on diecut paper.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Optional instructions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If photo has space to allow for an accent, add apple chipboard accent from\u00a0<strong>WRMK &#8211; Show &amp; Tell &#8211; Layered Chipboard Tags<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Using\u00a0<strong>EK Success &#8211; Binding Edge Edger Punch<\/strong>, punch strips of coordinating paper from &#8220;Show &amp; Tell&#8221; line and add to upper left hand corner of layout.<\/li>\n<li>If you like to work with details, cut an extra apple out of the patterned paper and adhere with pop dots over an apple on the row under &#8220;recess&#8221; on your page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Happy Scrappin&#8217;!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>writing in recess layout by\u00a0Amy Wheeler I only had one (bad) photo from this event, but there was a story to tell, so I pulled out the ruled die-cut paper and got the story down on paper.
