{"id":14220,"date":"2016-02-02T09:54:23","date_gmt":"2016-02-02T15:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/?p=14220"},"modified":"2017-11-24T14:31:02","modified_gmt":"2017-11-24T20:31:02","slug":"creative-ways-use-decorative-washi-tape-summery-cards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scrappinstuff.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/02\/creative-ways-use-decorative-washi-tape-summery-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative Ways to Use Decorative Washi Tape On These Summery Cards"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Washi tape brings a fun, slick texture and can add a quick pop of pattern and color to a plain cardstock.\u00a0 For today\u2019s cards I\u2019m sharing a couple of my favorite ways to use these tapes on cards!<\/p>\n<p>As shown with the first card, I love to use dies along with the washi tape to create a one-of-a-kind embellishment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.echoparkpaperblog.com\/.a\/6a01543696af0c970c01b7c78d4521970b-popup\"><img class=\"asset asset-image at-xid-6a01543696af0c970c01b7c78d4521970b img-responsive\" title=\"Shellye McDaniel-Umbrella Washi Card4\" src=\"http:\/\/www.echoparkpaperblog.com\/.a\/6a01543696af0c970c01b7c78d4521970b-500wi\" alt=\"Shellye McDaniel-Umbrella Washi Card4\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To start, I cut a scrap piece of white cardstock just a bit larger than the die shape.\u00a0 Pieces of tape were adhered to the paper and then die-cut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.echoparkpaperblog.com\/.a\/6a01543696af0c970c01b7c78d4527970b-popup\"><img class=\"asset asset-image at-xid-6a01543696af0c970c01b7c78d4527970b img-responsive\" title=\"Shellye McDaniel-Umbrella Washi Card3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.echoparkpaperblog.com\/.a\/6a01543696af0c970c01b7c78d4527970b-500wi\" alt=\"Shellye McDaniel-Umbrella Washi Card3\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The other umbrella components were die-cut from various 6X6 \u201cI Love Sunshine\u201d papers.\u00a0 Strips of decorative border sticker were added to the top and bottom of the card and the design left fairly clean-and-simple.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/a7.typepad.com\/6a01a3fceedc82970b01b7c79520ef970b-popup\"><img class=\"asset asset-image at-xid-6a01a3fceedc82970b01b7c79520ef970b img-responsive\" style=\"margin-left: auto;
