Hello! It\u2019s Aly Dosdall<\/a>\u00a0here again today. Having designer products that coordinate with my favorite Echo Park paper collections makes creating so much easier, and opens up a ton of possibilities. I used the coordinating Designer Stamps from the darling new Teacher\u2019s Pet<\/a>\u00a0collection to add a chalkboard look to my layout about my daughter\u2019s school accomplishments.<\/p>\n

\nI started out by cutting up some ruler strips from the Rulers patterned paper and adhering them to the background page to create a mat for my photo. To add to the unity of the layout I decided to create a ruler border across the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

I created the border using the ruler stamp and some embossing powder. I stamped with watermark ink on the green chalkboard paper, and then sprinkled white embossing powder over the image to create a chalkboard effect.<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Tip: use a foam brush to remove excess embossing powder before using your heat gun.<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

I created another chalkboard look by stamping the school days flag on white smooth cardstock with chalkboard green ink. Since the stamp was designed with a chalkboard texture to it, the image takes on a chalkboard look with the green ink.<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Then I cut out the flag and hot glued a toothpick to the back of it before adding it to my layout. I finished off my page by adding some journaling, a die cut title, some stickers, and wood veneer stars.<\/p>\n
