Hello! Courtney<\/a> here today and I am sharing a back to school themed card that I created with the Teacher\u2019s Pet Collection<\/a> and coordinating Designer Dies<\/a>. This collection is perfect for back to school cards for the kids, or thank you cards for their teachers.<\/p>\n

The fun 3-d globe on my card was created with the Globe Die Set<\/a>. To create the globe die cut the circle four times – three times from patterned paper and then once more from a scrap for the base (this piece won\u2019t be seen so you can use any scrap). Next, take the three patterned paper circle die cuts and fold each one in half to form a crease down the middle.<\/p>\n

Now to form the 3-d globe adhere the three circles that were creased to the base and each other. First, adhere the right half of the alphabet circle to the die cut circle base. Next, adhere the right half of the ruler circle to the left half of the alphabet circle. Finally, add the remaining circle by adhering the left half to the circle base and the right half to the ruler circle.<\/p>\n

For the card front cut a rectangle from the Green<\/a> solid paper and a strip from the Books<\/a> patterned paper. Then die cut the \u2018School\u2019 sentiment from the backside of the School Days Plaid<\/a> patterned paper, and die cut the remaining piece for the globe from the Chalkboard<\/a> solid paper.<\/p>\n

Machine zig zag stitch the Books<\/a> patterned paper strip to the bottom of the Green solid paper piece. Then, adhere this piece to the front of the card base.<\/p>\n

Adhere the 3-d globe and the die cuts to the front of the card. Tip: to line up the die cut sentiment perfectly use the negative die cut as a guide.<\/p>\n

Lastly, add a few finishing touches. Stamp three stars with white pigment ink and the small star clear stamp from the School Days Stamp Set<\/a>, and add a couple of enamel dots next to the globe.<\/p>\n
