After our son’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor, he had several people to thank. Instead of purchasing a box of thank you cards, we decided to go a more personal route. As a scrapbooker, I had plenty of scraps leftover from the many scouting layouts I have completed for him.
The cards are simple, I used a package of pre-folded cards (we selected kraft) that came with envelopes. We also stuck with a similar design for all of the cards. Using the “Gone Camping” line by Best Creation we were able to make a total of 22 cards quickly in four major styles.
1. Measure your card base and trim patterned paper down 1/4-1/2″ smaller on two sides.
2. Adhere patterned paper to front of card.
3. Cut strip of complimentary patterned paper in width and length of your choice and adhere in lower right corner of card.
4. Accent strip with embellishement of your choice. For our cards, I embossed my son’s initials on a cardstock circle.
