It’s always been fun to browse thru Pinterest, looking at the endless ideas and inspirational images that are out there. Our designers always enjoy taking whatever image we provide them, and using it in whatever way inspires them the most as they work on their projects. It’s amazing to see how many different ideas and designs can be inspired by just one image.

“Mad Skill”, by Leanne Allinson.
My inspiration for this layout came directly from the green paint chart décor. And while the colors aren’t an exact match, I played with the idea of having the color blocks transferred onto the background of my layout in an ombre fashion. The guacamole enamel dots and the fussy cut stars help draw the eye down the page, embracing the story as you go. The white background imitates the white shutters from the Pinterest Inspiration image which allows the Color Chaos patterned papers to really pop!
Supplies:
Color Chaos: Pickle Juice Strandz, Blueberry Strandz, Guacamole Strandz, Trinkets; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Pickle Juice; Molly: Paper Pieces; Ciao Chipboard: WhatNots; Enamel Dots: Guacamole; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pickle Juice; High Five Alpha Stickers: Brown-Cream
“Be Happy” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
I really loved the colors in the inspiration photo, so that is where I started with my card. As I was creating it, I decided to add in some yellow as well. All of the papers and embellishments come from the Scattered Sprinkles collection, which is still a favorite of mine!
Supplies:
Scattered Sprinkles: Bell Pepper Sprinkles, Ice Sprinkles, Pickle Juice Sprinkles, Treasures & Text, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Bella Bows: Saltwater
“Sunshine Memories” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
One of the first things that stood out to me about the inspiration photo was the horizontal slats in the background. I tried to create the same effect by layering strips of white cardstock on top of each other. To help them stand out a bit more, I added glitter to the edges of the strips. For the focal images, I added some of the new Bella Ciao Chip chipboard pieces.
Supplies:
Simply Spring: Trinkets; Ciao Chipboard: Flowers & Clouds
“Happy Easter” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
The mantel lined with pretties was the inspiration for this card. The spring tree journal card was the perfect basic design and was easily filled in at the bottom with a cluster of chipboard pieces and a sentiment sticker.
Supplies:
Simply Spring: Daily Details, Spring Patchwork, Chipboard Icons; Color Chaos: Orange Strandz; Ciao Chipboard: Flowers & Clouds; Enamel Doodads: Punch
“Spring Fun” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
This card design focuses on the horizontal colors of green in the Pinterest photo. I selected a few strips from the Borders paper and then embellished lightly with enamel dots and a felt bow. I highlighted the center of the bow with a scrap of grosgrain ribbon from my stash.
Supplies:
Simply Spring: Borders, Chipboard Icons; Color Chaos: Peep Strandz; Enamel Dots: Milk White; Bella Bows: Milk White
