Create Your Own Outdoor Adventure Treat Bags!

Hello, friends!  It’s Tania back with you again today sharing a fun way to put The Wild Life collection  to use to pack some portable treats for your next camping adventure! If you aren’t the adventurous camping type, this would also be a really fun way to package up all the fixings for S’mores for your next backyard bonfire too! Or even a fun way to package some party favors for a camping-themed birthday party, yes?  I’ve already set these aside and plan on filling them with some homemade trail mix for our next hiking adventure.  The visual layer of the stamping, mixed with a lighter layer of a paper doily and hexagon cut designer die layered with the Element Stickers really gives this treat bag some WOW factor without adding an incredible amount of bulk and it’s really easy to pull it all together! Here’s how!

First, stamp the leaf stamp found in the Adventure Time 4×6 Stamp Set onto the treat bag using brown ink to give it a tone-on-tone appearance.  You can also achieve a similar, more subtle look, by using a Versamark Watermark ink pad.

Next, use your adhesive runner to adhere a paper doily to the treat bag.

Then, cut hexagon shapes from the Hexagon Nesting Designer Die Set and a few trees from the Into the Woods Designer Die Set from the papers and green cardstock of your choice. Use your adhesive runner to adhere one hexagon, centered, on the paper doily.

Wrap a length of natural twine around your fingers several times, slip off and lay in the center of the hexagon.

Adhere stickers of choice from Element Stickers Sheet using foam dimensional adhesive layered over natural twine. Then, finish off with a small adhesive-backed pearl or two and you’re finished!

If you prefer, you can skip the first step of stamping on the treat bags altogether and still end up with a lovely result. This one features both the hexagon die shape and the tree die shape, without the stamping.

And here is another one, just like the first, just a different color scheme and different stickers, but the same basic concept.

Putting these bags together is just like following a recipe: Stamping, Doily, Hexagon, Twine, Layer with Stickers, and Fill with Treats! As long as you follow that recipe you’ll end up successful every time!
