Howdy Chipboard Album

I absolutely LOVE this Howdy Album that Design Team member Niccole Burns created.

Supplies:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Paint the “Howdy” chipboard piece. Allow five minutes to dry and apply another layer. Allow five minutes to dry. Flip over and repeat.
  2. Use the bristle brush and ink pad to distress.
  3. Cover the front of the first chipboard panel with brown cardstock. Punch a hole in the paper in line with the hole in the chipboard.
  4. Cut a 3 7/8 x 5” strip of the Cowgirl Talk paper. Tear the left edge and adhere to panel.
  5. Place the boot border sticker on the panel, about ½” from the bottom edge. Trim excess off.
  6. Use ink pad and bristle brush to distress the edges of the panel.
  7. Trim a photo to 1” wide x 2 ¼” tall. Use punch to round the corners.
  8. Mount photo on a 1 ½” x 2 ¾” piece of brown cardstock. Use punch to round the corners and adhere to the panel so that it will be visible in the opening of the “d” in “Howdy.”
  9. Cut a piece of brown cardstock to 3 ½” x 5”. Fold in half. Rip the edge on one side. Use ink pad and bristle brush to distress.
  10. Trim horse sticker to 3 ½” x 2 ½” and place on front of folded cardstock piece.
  11. Staple ribbon piece to the torn edge of the folded cardstock piece.
  12. Write message or title inside of folded cardstock piece and adhere to the panel.
  13. Cover the back of the first panel and the front of the second panel with pink cardstock. Use ink pad and bristle brush to distress the edges of the panel and punch a hole in the paper in line with the hole in the chipboard.
  14. Cut two 9 5/8” x 2” pieces of Ride Fast paper. Distress and adhere to the middle of each panel.
  15. Trim two photos to 3 ½ wide x 2” tall.
  16. Use the horseshoe border on the left edges of each photo. Trim excess and adhere photos to the panel.
  17. Embellish with “ride” and hose stickers.
  18. Trim photo to 6” wide x 3 ½” tall and adhere to panel. Embellish with corner stickers.
  19. Cover the back of the second panel and the front of the third panel with Cowgirl Star paper, using the star with the horse on the back of the second panel. . Use ink pad and bristle brush to distress the edges of the panel and punch a hole in the paper in line with the hole in the chipboard.
  20. Trim photo to 3” wide x 3 ½” tall and adhere to panel. Embellish with stickers.
  21. Trim photo to 4” wide x 3 ½” tall.
  22. Cut a 2 ½” x 3” piece of brown cardstock. Tear one of the short edges and distress. Embellish with stickers.
  23. Adhere cardstock then the photo to the panel.
  24. Cover the back of the third panel with brown cardstock and the front of the fourth panel with Cowgirl Talk paper.
  25. Use ink pad and bristle brush to distress the edges of the panel and punch a hole in the paper in line with the hole in the chipboard.
  26. Cut a 2” wide x 3 7/8” tall piece of Cowgirl Talk paper. Tear right edge and distress all edges. Adhere to panel.
  27. Trim a photo to 6” wide x 2” tall. Use a punch to round the corners. Mount on a 6½” wide x 2½” tall piece of pink cardstock. Round the corners, distress and adhere to panel.
  28. Embellish with “kickin’ up dust” sticker.
  29. Cut a 2” wide x 3 7/8” tall piece of brown cardstock. Tear the left edge, distress and adhere to panel.
  30. Embellish with stickers.
  31. Trim a photo to 3 ½” wide x 3 ¼” tall. Round the corners.
  32. Place “That’s Miss Cowgirl to you!” sticker to photo and insert pink brads into the holes on either side.
  33. Cut a 6 ½” wide x 1 ½” tall piece of pink cardstock. Round the corners and distress the edges. Adhere to panel.
  34. Adhere photo to panel.
  35. Cover the back of the fourth panel and the front of the fifth panel with Horseshoe Bandana paper. (Be sure to use the edges of the paper and save the horseshoe design in the middle.)
  36. Use ink pad and bristle brush to distress the edges of the panel and punch a hole in the paper in line with the hole in the chipboard.
  37. Cut a 9 5/8” wide x 2” tall piece of the Ride Fast paper. Tear both long edges and distress. Adhere to panel.
  38. Cut a 3 ¾” x 2 ¼” piece of the Cowgirl Star paper. Round the corners and distress. Mount on a 4 ¼” x 3” piece of pink cardstock. Round the edges and distress. Adhere to the middle of the panel.
  39. Cut out the horseshoe pattern on the Horseshoe Bandana paper.
  40. Place the “I love my horse” sticker in the middle of the horseshoe pattern cut-out.
  41. Adhere horseshoe pattern to the middle of the panel.
  42. Cut a 3” x 3 7/8” piece of brown cardstock. Round the edges, distress and adhere to panel.
  43. Trim photo to 6” wide x 3 ½” tall. Round the corners and adhere to panel. Embellish with “howdy” sticker.
  44. Cover the back of the fifth panel with brown cardstock.
  45. Punch a hole in the paper in line with the hole in the chipboard.
  46. Put all panel on the metal ring.
  47. Knot ribbon around the ring.
