Participating in a high school musical is so much fun. Going to rehearsals, pretending to be someone else, and going to cast parties is the best. Not only is it fun for the children, but it’s a wonderful feeling as a parent.
Creating a scrapbook to hold these feelings close to your heart is wonderful. Not only will you enjoy putting it together, but you’ll always love looking through it.
Take pictures when you can go to a rehearsal so you can include those in your scrapbook. While you won’t be able to include sound in your scrapbook, you’ll want to make sure to include journaling of what you saw.
When the night of the show comes around, take pictures of the crowd, make sure to get an extra program, and then take pictures of the performance if it’s possible. Also make sure to take pictures when the crowd goes to the door to great the crowd.
After the show there is usually a cast party. That is one you’ll want to include in your scrapbook as well. Take lots of pictures of that party because it will be the only one they’ll have for this musical.
Musicals are fun to watch, but it’s even better when it’s your own child participating in it. The hard work will pay off when the play turns out to be a wonderful show and they get a standing ovation.
