Tying Knots Layout

You may have noticed that I enjoy making 2-page layouts that focus on the photos. To do this, it’s really simple to “smush” your photos together toward the center of the 2-page spread and “build” around it with patterned paper and embellishments.

Supplies:

Directions:
  1. Start with two sheets of Bazzill Classic Cardstock – Kraft. With the two pieces together, ink the outside edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad – Vintage Photo.
  2. Center four 4×6 photos across 2-page spread, positioning two 5×4 photos below them. Adhere to kraft paper.
  3. Cut two 11-1/2″x1/2″ strips from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It Stripe Paper . Ink edges and adhere above top row of photos.
  4. Cut lower right-hand square from backside of TWO SHEETS of Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It Cut Outs. Ink them and line them up with edge of Stripe border out to each side of the upper row of photos. (You will need to tuck them behind your photos a bit.)
  5. Cut two 4×6-1/2″ pieces of paper from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It Nature Paper . Using the backside (diagonal plaid), ink edges and adhere a piece to the outside of each side of the bottom row of photos.
  6. Cut two 11-1/2″x1/2″ strips from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It Nature Paper . Using front side (green tone-on-tone pattern), ink edges and adhere below bottom row of photos.
  7. Place three brads from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It iCandy Brads inside upper left hand corner of Stripe strip.
  8. Take “twig” chipboard shapes from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It 12″x12″ Sticker and adhere one to each lower corner of the 2-page spread.
  9. Cut strips for journaling from scrap cardstock and add journaling strips to lower left hand section of layout.
  10. Add title to lower right hand section of layout. I used a combination of alpha stickers from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It 12″x12″ Sticker and Thickers – Puffy Chit Chat – Chestnut. I also used a sticker from Bo-Bunny – Roughin’ It 12″x12″ Sticker raised up with ANM – Mini Pop Dots in place of an “o” in “knots.”

Happy Scrappin’!
