ROAD TRIP layout by Stephanie Ackerman
A road trip is always a fun adventure, especially when the parents aren’t allowed to go!!!!! My son spent several days in the mountains with his camp group.
Supplies:
Pattern Paper: American Traditional Designs, Great Outdoors
Journal Book: Little Yellow Bicycle
Die cut Machine: Cricut Expression
Cartridge: Cricut Summer Vacation Cartridge
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug
Directions:
- Use Navy cardstock for base of the layout
- Cut pattern paper into two strips, each 5” x 12”
- Mat with green cardstock
- Ink edges
- Adhere across both pages
- Die cut road sign from Kraft cardstock using the Cricut Summer Vacation cartridge
- Cut in half and ink edges, then adhere each half to both sides of the layout
- Die cut Road Trip at 4”, ink edges and emboss with a Cuttlebug embossing folder
- Adhere to layout with pop dots
- Mat varying sized photos with green and/or brown cardstock, being sure to double mat the focal photo
- Die cut the backpack from blue cardstock at 3”; ink edges and adhere to road side
- Die cut the map from brown and white cardstock at 3”; ink edges and adhere to the lower left side of the layout
- Die cut the compass from blue cardstock at 3”; ink edges and adhere to the lower right side of the layout
- Die cut ticket from brown and green cardstock; ink edges and adhere to the upper right side of the layout
- Add a journal page under the photo on the right page, allowing just the words to show
- Add a journal page on the road sign on the left page and add journaling
- Insert one photo under the road side on the right page
- Add a date sticker on the left side
