Back 2 School Layout

“back 2 school” layout by Amy Wheeler

LOVE the new Crate Paper “School Spirit” line that has arrived in the store! It was perfect for scrapping my school portrait – my first in 18 years!
Instructions:
  1. Start with 8-1/2″x11″ piece of Crate Paper – School Spirit Ruler Paper . Use backside for base.
  2. Cut piece of Crate Paper – School Spirit Pep Rally Paper down to 8″x10-1/2″. You’ll use backside.
  3. Use to punch right edge of Crate Paper – School Spirit Pep Rally Paper with EK Success – Round Binding Edge Edger Punch.
  4. Ink edges of paper with Cat’s Eye Fluid Chalk Inkpad – Dark Brown and adhere to center of base.
  5. Use 1″x8-1/2″ scrap from Crate Paper – School Spirit Ruler Paper, ink edges and adhere 1/2″ from bottom of page.
  6. Adhere row of arrows sticker from Crate Paper – School Spirit Border Stickers and adhere just above paper strip.
  7. Cut “school spirit” from border sticker on Crate Paper – School Spirit Border Stickers and adhere at a curve in upper right hand corner of layout.
  8. Mat 3×5 photo on scrap of Crate Paper – School Spirit Ruler Paper. Ink edges. (I also roughed up the edges of my photo using Making Memories Edge Scrapper Tool.)
  9. Adhere matted photo at an angle to the left of the page, just below the banner sticker.
  10. Accent photo mat with tab embellishment from Crate Paper – School Spirit Layered Chipboard.
  11. Add title to lower right corner of layout using mixture of alphas from Thickers – Foam Daiquiri – White, Thickers – Foam Giggles – Brown, and Thickers – Chipboard Letterman – Apricot.
  12. I accented the “2” in my title by backing it with a chipboard accent from Crate Paper – School Spirit Layered Chipboard.
  13. I used the pencil sticker from Crate Paper – School Spirit Border Stickers, cut apart as journaling strips and added them to the page above my title.

Happy Scrappin’!
