“With Scout” Layout by Amy Wheeler
Even though this isn’t a camping layout, the colors in the “Campy Trails” line by American Crafts worked perfectly with my outdoor photos from a slightly overcast day.
Supplies:
Instructions:
  1. Start with sheet of kraft paper for your base. I used Mister Huey Mists by Studio Calico (in Pony and Cream) to mist my layout.
  2. Cut 10×7 section of American Crafts – Campy Trails – Silver Lake Trail Paper and adhere along right edge of layout about 2″ down from top.
  3. Cut 10×3 section of American Crafts – Campy Trails – Fox Park Forest Paper and adhere below green woodgrain paper.
  4. Cut two 1-1/4″ strips from American Crafts – Campy Trails – Cedar River Trail Paper and using one of each pattern, adhere them where two other patterns meet. Stagger them slightly and cut off excess along right edge of page.
  5. Round corners of 4×6 photo and adhere at an angle as shown.
  6. Trim second photo down to 4×4 and mat on American Crafts – Campy Trails – Fox Park Forest Paper. Round corners and adhere as shown.
  7. Add title under 4×4 photo. (I also used one of the patterns in the strip of yellow patterned paper for my date.)
  8. Add “Squirrelin’ Around” accent from American Crafts – Campy Trails – Patchems – Squirrel overlapping two paper paper strips as shown. (The orange around the patch didn’t match my layout, so I used mist to color the border red.)
  9. In upper left hand corner, add punched border strip of American Crafts – Campy Trails – Fox Park Forest Paper (brown side).
  10. Add brad from American Crafts – Campy Trails – Fabric Brads near inside edge of border strip.
