Hello Big Hitter Layout

I love the new “Awesome” line by Simple Stories. The neutral color scheme makes it very versatile for so many themes. The quotes and phrases used throughout the line make it the perfect line for scrapping active boys. I used it for this layout to document my son’s baseball accomplishment of hitting a home run out of each of the three fields in our league. Not many boys can say that!

Supplies:

• Simple Stories – Awesome – Totally Cool Paper
• Simple Stories – Awesome – Quotes & Photo Mats  (2 sheets)
• Simple Stories – Awesome – Border & Title Strips
• Simple Stories – Awesome – Boys Rock Paper
• Simple Stories – Awesome – 100% Boy Paper
• Simple Stories – Awesome – Journaling Cards Elements #1
• Simple Stories – Awesome – So Random Paper
• Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Fundamental Stickers
• Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Expression Stickers
• 2 sheets kraft cardstock
• brown corrugated alphas

Instructions:

1. Start with two sheets of kraft cardstock for your base.
2. 1/2″ from top of layout, add 1/2″x11-1/2″ strips of Simple Stories – Awesome – Totally Cool Paper as shown.
3. On left page, under under stripes add star/grid section and brown dot section cut from Simple Stories – Awesome – Quotes & Photo Mats . **You will need to trim 1/2″ off star/grid section before adhering.
4. Below large sections, add 100% original quote as shown cut from Simple Stories – Awesome – Border & Title Strips. (Cut orange and green chevron sections as shown.)
5. To separate 100% original quote from two larger sections, add 1/4″ stripe cut from Simple Stories – Awesome – Totally Cool Paper.
6. On right hand page, below strips, add 4×5/12″ photo and “Awesome” section cut from Simple Stories – Awesome – Journaling Cards Elements #1.
7. Next add 1/2″x11-1/2″ strip of Simple Stories – Awesome – Boys Rock Paper.
8. Below orange strip, add two 5×3-3/4″ photos.
9. To right of photos, add 1/2″x4″ strip of Simple Stories – Awesome – 100% Boy Paper and “So Cool” section from Simple Stories – Awesome – Quotes & Photo Mats .
10. Finish right page with 1×11-1/2″ strip of green chevron pattern on backside of Simple Stories – Awesome – Totally Cool Paper.
11. Accent two of the photos on the right page with “tape” stickers from Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Fundamental Stickers as shown.
12. On left page, add cropped photo to center of brown dot section.
13. Hand cut “Hello” nametag (with “tape”) from Simple Stories – Awesome – So Random Paper and adhere in upper center of left hand page as shown.
14. Build title around “Hello” nametag as shown using combination of stickers from Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Expression Stickers  and larger corrugated alphas or other alphabet.
15. Journal on grid paper.
