Hello Friend Layout

The fun patterns and colors in the “Awesome” line by Simple Stories are quite versatile! I used the line on a fun layout about a visit with an out of town friend.

  Supplies:

 Instructions:

1. Start with sheet of brown cardstock for the base and top with 11-1/2″ square piece of kraft cardstock. (I stamped my kraft paper with a background stamp and brown ink to give a subtle pattern.)
2. Add 1/4″x11-1/2″ strip of Simple Stories – Awesome – Bingo Cards (chevron) 1/2″ from bottom of kraft paper.
3. Moving up from the bottom, add the following strips cut to 11-1/2″ lengths:
   • 1/2″ (houndstooth) Simple Stories – Awesome – Extreme Paper
   • 1″ (stripe) Simple Stories – Awesome – 100% Boy Paper
   • 3/4″ (chevron) Simple Stories – Awesome – Bingo Cards
   • 1″ (stars) Simple Stories – Awesome – 100% Boy Paper
   • 2-1/2″ (green diagonal) Simple Stories – Awesome – Stripe/Tickets Paper
4. Add 1/4″ strip of (stripe) Simple Stories – Awesome – Totally Cool Paper about 1/4″ up from bottom of green diagonal strip.
5. Also add license plate border sticker from Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Fundamental Stickers across green diagonal pattern, about 1/4″ from top. (Trim border to 11-1/2″ before adhering.)
6. Double mat two 4×6 photos on vanilla, then brown cardstock and adhere as shown in upper right corner of layout.
7. In upper right corner of top photo, add “tape” sticker from Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Fundamental Stickers.
8. Select journaling card shown on layout from Simple Stories – Awesome – Flash Cards, handcut as shown and adhere in lower left corner of photo.
9. Add paint-sploth sticker from Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Fundamental Stickers in lower left corner of journaling spot. (I adhered with pop dots.)
10. Add title using mix of alphas from Simple Stories – Awesome – 12″x12″ Expression Stickers just above green diagonal paper strip.
