I really enjoyed working with the new “Making the Grade” school line by Little Yellow Bicycle. One of my favorite sheets of paper was Chalkboard Doodles. With the alphabet printed across the top, and the doodles along the side, it was super simple to put a fun layout together.
Instructions:
- Start with sheet of LYB – Making the Grade – Chalkboard Doodles/Grey Test
Cardstock for your base. - Cut 2×11 section of LYB – Making the Grade – Cut Here/Yellow Stripe
Cardstock and cut into each end of strip as shown. Adhere about 3″ from bottom
of page. - Take two 4×6 prints and double mat on LYB – Making the Grade – Cut
Here/Yellow Stripe Cardstock and LYB – Making the Grade – Pennants/Blue Solid
Cardstock. - Adhere photo mat in center of page and accent one photo with banner/flag
from LYB – Making the Grade – 5 Things Pocket. (I cut the “s” off of
“teachers” for my page.) - Use “My Favorite School Memory” card from LYB – Making the Grade –
Tear-Out Ticket and Journaling Card Book for journaling and adhere overlapping
lower left corner of photo mat. - Accent right photo with wood veneer or other embellishment.
- Add mixed title in lower right corner of page.
