This week, we asked our designers to focus on the new Star Student collection when creating their projects. We know so many of you have already added this fun collection to your stash, and with the school year ending, it’s the perfect time to load you up with even more ideas to incorporate this collection into your projects. I love the projects our Creative Team members came up with, and I hope you do too!

“Big Day”, by Heather Leopard.
Photography by KC McKee Photography, Katy, TX
It’s hard to believe it’s the last week of Kindergarten for this little sweetie. This layout was fun because I got to reflect on how big of a deal it is to go to Kindergarten, for both the child and the parents. To say it was a BIG DAY is an understatement. With that is mind I decided to use a super-sized banner for my background, which I cut using my CAMEO. I also cut several stars out of the background. Once cut, I added different pattern papers to the cut out sections and I used the Jillibean Happy Hues paints to create a border around the banner. I then doodled around the edges of all the cuts. Next, I added a border to the bottom of the banner and adhered layers to frame up my photo. I added a secondary title and embellishments to complete the page.

“Preschool”, by Becki Adams.
My baby graduating from preschool is a pretty big deal around our house. He had such a great year at preschool! The Star Student collection is the perfect collection to use when documenting all of your “last day of school” memories. I’ll be using lots of this collection to create a mini album about his graduation program.
