“Birthday ‘Tail'” by Amy Wheeler
Even though the “Animal Crackers” is a circus-themed line, I found that it worked great with birthday photos. It was fun to use on this layout of a game of pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey from my son’s birthday party last fall.
Supplies:
- Imaginisce – Kaboom! Paper
- Imaginisce – Step Right Up Paper
- Imaginisce – Come One! Come All! Paper
- Imaginisce – Animal Crackers Ribbon
- Alphabets (I used stickers by Paper Trunk and Thickers by American Crafts)
- White cardstock (for journal strips)
- Pop dots
Instructions:
- Start with sheet of Imaginisce – Kaboom! Paper for your base.
- Trim sheet of Imaginisce – Step Right Up Paper down to 11×11 and adhere to top of base.
- Take two different ribbon patterns from Imaginisce – Animal Crackers Ribbon and add strips of ribbon along edge of Imaginisce – Step Right Up Paper.
- Arrange four small photos, with two slightly overlapping as shown. (I made two 4×6 photo collages and cut them apart to use on this layout.)
- Cut ticket strip from Imaginisce – Step Right Up Paper into sections of three tickets each and use as shown above and below placed photos. *I adhered mine with pop dots to add dimension.
- Add additional section of two tickets in upper right corner, adhered with pop dots.
- Cut “Ladies & Gentlemen” and “Fun And Games” sections from Imaginisce – Come One! Come All! Paper and adhere with pop dots as shown on layout.
- In upper right hand corner between two ticket sections, add journaling on white journaling strips.
- Complete layout by adding mixed title above top left photo.
HAPPY SCRAPPIN’!
