I often find it hard to scrap photos I have taken of my boys with their classmates at school events. The photos are often busy with kids wearing “clashing” clothing against a backdrop of classroom decorations and childrens’ artwork. The new “Making the Grade” line by Little Yellow Bicycle made working with “busy” photos effortless. I especially loved the Alpha Block paper that seemed to incorporated EVERY color in my photos. When paired with the neutral Bookshelf paper, I ended up with a fun, clean layout.
Instructions:
- Start with sheet of LYB – Making the Grade – Alpha Block/Red Stripe Cardstock for your base.
- Trimming the “book shelf” portion off of the paper, trim LYB – Making the Grade – Bookshelf/Blue Solid Cardstock down to 11×11 and adhere to center of base.
- Cut sheet of LYB – Making the Grade – New Notebook/Blue Fun Dot Cardstock (notebook side) down to 4×10-1/2. Use notebook edge border punch down left hand side and round corners on right side. Adhere as shown.
- Add 3/4×10-3/4 strip of LYB – Making the Grade – New Notebook/Blue Fun Dot Cardstock (blue side) just inside of left edge of “notebook” paper.
- Mat two 4×6 photos individually on LYB – Making the Grade – Cut Here/Yellow Stripe Cardstock and adhere slightly overlapping “notebook” paper.
- Add “Best Friends” journaling card from LYB – Making the Grade – Tear-Out Ticket and Journaling Card Book in upper right corner.
- Complete layout with a title in lower right corner.
