We love the stitching & quilt like design that Suzanna has created on this layout showcasing her daughter at a young age.
The Heartland Farm collection has been just perfect for pictures of my horse loving girl! This layout is about the beginning (yes, it IS spelled wrong in the title, you did see correctly), the one event that kicked off this love and passion.
I love the country feel of this layout so zig zag stitching pieces of the patterned papers together as a quilt was a no brainer. The colors I chose are a bit patriotic but it was more to reflect the colors that my daughter is wearing than any other purpose.
Having altered the colors of the original photo to age it a bit, there needed to be some layers to really make the picture stand out against the background. There are plenty of reds and blues in this collection for that very purpose!
I have been saving this die cut horse for THE right layout. And here it is!
Thanks for stopping in today! For those of you in the northern hemisphere, I hope your summer is off to a good start! I am sure you will have plenty of “Heartland Farm” moments this summer and can’t wait to see what you create with this fantastic collection!
